Since founding his eponymous brand in 1994, Rick Owens has stood at the forefront of the avant-garde. His instantly-recognisable silhouettes and largely monochrome palette are often painted with gothic overtones, but it his often-overlooked influences from the world of street and sportswear that continue to keep the brand relevant almost two decades on. The designer consistently reinvents the styles that have made his name, from drop-crotch boxing shorts to the exaggerated takes on classic sneakers.
For SS13, Owens incorporates angular camouflage and block patterns into the usual jet-black colourways. A striking, boxy dress is joined by a new variation on the iconic ‘Dunk’ sneaker, whilst the remainder of LN-CC’s selection sees a continued focus on tough street styles rather than drapery.
